Project’s Brief
 
The current project aims to continue the construction works for Al Qaidah wastewater collection and treatment system and reaches the stage of finalizing the different project aims. The project was started on 01/04/2005 for a period of 18 months but due the significant delays by the Contractor the Client has decided to terminate the Contract on 12/01/2009.Thus the aim of the current Contract is to complete the construction works that was stated in the original Contract. The remaining works will be executed by two contractors. First Contract QADCW-1A for completion of wastewater collection by Sana’a Company and the second Contract QADCW-1B for traetment of wastewater by China Zhonghang.

Scope of Service

  • Review all planning and programming activities to ensure that the Contract will be executed according to agreed time schedule. 
  • Review and verify of the bill of quantities for all of the remaining works.
  • Review and verify any drawings to be prepared by the Contractor including those referring to supply and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Assure that any removing of existing structures and incomplete structures is performed according to the standards and the safety requirements for protecting human life.
  • The Consultant assures that the mechanical and electrical equipment will be supplied and installed according to specifications, investigations and required tests.
  • Review and verify that all civil works will be carried out according to specifications and that tests, as required, will be carried out satisfactorily.
  • Review and verify payment requests and that these are based on accurate measuring of complete works.
  • Verify payments requests that cannot be approved and steps to be taken for settlement.
  • Review and approve manuals to be submitted by the Contractor for operation and maintenance of the works.
